Move light loads with excellent precision

Gravity plays a big part in simple mechanical automation systems, which are also referred to as low-cost automation and Karakuri. As a result, lightweight SLCs can be much more difficult to move through systems than heavy loads, since the systems rely on the weight of goods and their carriers themselves to set things in motion. item is creating a solution for this challenge with its latest additions to the Lean Production Building Kit System. The ball-bearing components Pivot Bearings D30-28.5 M8 and Roller Set 8 D30-30 and the Tool Balancers with a synthetic fibre cable have been designed specifically to help move light loads. When incorporated into low-cost automation applications, these new parts also help improve ergonomics at work benches and in mechanical processes.

Rotation made easy – Pivot Bearing Set D30-28.5 M8

Compact Pivot Bearing Set D30-28.5 M8 makes low-cost automation applications easy, even when working with lightweight transported goods. The Set is simply inserted into a Fastener D30, with its durable, ball-bearing rollers and the combination of a fixed and floating bearing producing an exceptionally easy-turning bearing. This makes the Set ideal for building hatch designs. When an SLC or workpiece carrier is placed against a hatch, its weight causes the hatch to fold down and move the box further through the system. The other pivot bearing variant, Double Pivot Bearing Unit D30-28.5 M8 , enables rotary motions with profiles that only need to be secured at one end. This makes it an ideal solution when moving lightweight parts in a tight space, for example. Since it is fitted with two ball bearings, the Double Pivot Bearing Unit can also withstand higher loads. The new parts also boast a long service life, low wear and exceptionally smooth running.

On a roll – Roller Set 8 D30-30

Carriages, cables and counterweights can all be moved along a profile frame with ease, precision and low wear when using Roller Set 8 D30-30. The Set includes Roller D30/D6-16 and Spacer Bushing D17/D6-12. The double ball-bearing rollers D30/D6-16 run very smoothly and with low wear.  The crucial advantage of this product is that it eliminates the need to fit an additional guide profile to the frame for moving components in Karakuri applications, for example. A (Profile) Tube D30 is used as a basis. The carriage for moving the loads can thus be built with ease using Profile Tubes 8 D30. The Spacer Bushings make sure there is adequate clearance between the static profiles and the carriage.

Synthetic fibre surpasses steel – Tool Balancers with a synthetic fibre cable

The new Tool Balancers with a synthetic fibre cable can also help make a whole variety of tasks much easier. The synthetic fibre cable used in these devices is extremely flexible and can also be routed around small rollers, if required, without causing wear damage. In the past, Tool Balancers have always been fitted with a steel cable, but this type of cable splays and tears when subjected to excessive loads. item supplies the Tool Balancers with a synthetic fibre cable in three designs – with a retraction weight of one to two kilograms, two to three kilograms or ten to fourteen kilograms.
